BwanaRenmanSafari's specialty is camping far out on the savannah, this is both cooler and cheaper than staying only in hotels and lodges. It is of course possible to mix the experience with tent safaris, lodges and finer hotels.
The lodges usually cost around SEK 2000-5000 per person per night. Other organizers only offer bookings with accommodation in lodges, hence their costs of around 50 - 60,000 per person for a 10-day trip. Almost 100% more expensive than my trips.
In addition to that, guides are kept by me (Per Renman) who has over 30 years of experience in safaris in these destinations, which means that my knowledge and contacts can keep the prices down without expensive middlemen.
Camping in game-rich areas of Africa is an experience out of the ordinary.
As night falls over the savannah and the wildlife comes to life, it feels like being part of nature in a way that lodges can never recreate. The sound of the roar of the lions in the distance, the laughter of the hyenas under the dark sky and the footsteps of the elephants just outside the tent gives a feeling of authenticity and closeness to the wild nature.
In summary, tent life in game-rich areas in Africa offers a unique and exciting opportunity to experience nature on its own terms. By giving up comfort and luxury, you instead get a richer and more authentic experience that puts your own little worries in perspective against Africa's magnificent and wild landscape.
